our-facilityPet Boarding Facility Features

The safety, security, and comfort of your pet is always our first priority! Your companion deserves the best, and that’s what we have to offer… without compromise. You’ll find all the comforts of home in our fully heated and air conditioned 18,000-square-foot dog and cat boarding facility in Franklin, TN. All of our luxury pet boarding suites are built on raised floors. Unlike the rest of the kennel industry, we reject the notion of pets ever sleeping on cold concrete slabs or surrounded by dangerous chain link fence.

Fresh air is provided by a system of charcoal filtration, ultraviolet light and introduction of additional ozone. This controls the air quality, eliminating the airborne pathogens which could lead to disease or cross contamination. Combined with cold plasma processes and dual intake ionization, our air is kept at a state of the art level.

Strict sanitation and housekeeping procedures, including fresh bedding and pre-screening of all pets for shots and general health, ensures a clean and healthy environment. In the unlikely case of an emergency, our wonderful on-call vet is available 24/7. We also have constant video monitoring through twenty-two interior and exterior cameras.

Our luxury pet boarding service provides a quilt or tempur material bedding for all of our guests, freshly laundered in our industrial-grade washer and dryer. This ensures that your pet is not sharing the room with critters from the previous guest. Other Nashville kennels use vinyl material that is simply rinsed after each stay, yuck! We also offer outdoor porter service – just pull up in front and we’ll come out to get your pet. Luxurious soundproofed suites, specially made for the size and breed of each guest, promote a relaxing and serene environment for your furry friend. Learn more about our lodging suites!

We will also be hosting holiday photos on Sat Dec 2nd and a fun on-site Car Wash on July 8th, 2017 to benefit Agape. My Second Home is a proud sponsor of Agape events, especially thier Animal Ball in November. It is our goal that our loving staff will be able to both revitalize and rejuvenate these wonderful creatures, allowing for a smooth transition into the pet’s future forever home.

Thank you to all who participated in the 2016 Valentine’s day photo event at My Second Home; you helped raise $2,300 for Nashville Pitte. Please visit Nashvillepittie.org for more information on events, fostering, adoption, or donating.

My Second Home and Tails of the Trail

Tails of the Trail™ is a non-profit outreach program launched in 2014 by Nashville Hiking Meetup where groups partner with animal shelters and adoption agencies to hike with shelter dogs for much needed exercise and socialization.

Along with donating bandanas for the shelter dogs, My Second Home donated 50% of our proceeds from our St. Patrick’s Day 2016 party to Tails of the Trail!
