The guests at My Second Home will enjoy regular interaction with staff as part of the Resort experience and our exceptional care. As a result, My Second Home will not accept animals that have bitten or are aggressive toward humans. If your dog does not get along with other dogs, we can accommodate their stay with exclusive one-on-one care with staff. Charges will apply. By submitting this form, you are accepting this policy.

    ANIMALS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN VACCINATED AT LEAST 72 HOURS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

    The minimum requirements are as follows:

    Dogs: Rabies, DHP, Parvo and Bordetella

    Cats: Rabies and FVRCP

    We are a flea free facility!! We administer a Capstar tablet to all pets lodging with us at a charge of $6.00 per visit. This is a very mild flea preventative that does not interfere with your regular flea treatment. This is not an optional item. We can only make an exception with a waiver from your veterinarian.

  • The following represents a contract between My Second Home and the Owner of the pet whose name appears on this Application and Facility Agreement (the “Agreement”):

    By signing this Agreement and leaving his/her pet with My Second Home, Owner certifies to the accuracy of all information given in the Agreement.

    Owner agrees to pay the rate for boarding, grooming, daycare and any other requested services in effect on the date the pet is checked into My Second Home.

    Reservations are only accepted with a $75.00 deposit during our standard season. This deposit is due at time of reservation and may be fully refunded if cancellation is made at least 7 days prior to planned arrival date. By signing this agreement, I authorize My Second Home to charge my credit card upon my reservation (otherwise I must pay by cash in person). I understand that my deposit is forfeited if I do not make proper notice of cancellation.

    Owner further agrees that the pet shall not leave My Second Home until all charges are paid to My Second Home by Owner. My Second Home shall have and is hereby granted, a lien on the pet for any and all unpaid charges resulting from boarding pet at My Second Home. The Owner hereby agrees that in the event the boarding charges are not paid when due in accordance with this Agreement, My Second Home may exercise its lien rights upon ten days written notice given by My Second Home to Owner by certified mail to address shown on this Agreement. My Second Home may sell the pet for any and all unpaid charges, at private or public sale, in the sole discretion of My Second Home, and Owner specifically waives all statutory or legal right to the contrary. If such sale shall not secure a price adequate to pay such cost of boarding or other charges, plus cost of sale, then Owner shall be liable to My Second Home for the difference. All monies realized by My Second Home at such sale, over and above the charges due and costs of sale, shall be paid by My Second Home to Owner.

    At My Second Home the security and care of your pet is the cornerstone of our business. For your protection, only the Owner or the person listed as the authorized pick up person will be able to pick up the pet. Please list any other persons you authorize to pick up your pet below:

  • We do our best to keep track of all items brought with your pet. Please limit the amount of personal items you bring, and do not leave anything you are not prepared to part with. My Second Home is not responsible for lost or damaged items.

    We provide all boarding clients with our new Gold Star Pet Warranty Program. You can find details here. You are acknowledging you have read and agree to the terms of this program, and accept the $1.25 per pet day charge for this exceptional service.

    Check in time for boarding is after 2:00pm every day. Check out time is before 1:00pm every day to all us time to prepare suites for new guests. All arrivals prior to 2:00pm will be charged an early check-in fee of $5.00 per hour, not to exceed $23.50. All departures after 1:00pm will be charged for the departure day as well.

    My Second Home accepts cash and all major credit cards. We can not accept checks as a form of payment for services.

Pet Care Warranty

In our continued effort to provide the highest quality of pet care, we are happy to introduce our Gold Star Pet Care Warranty program. For dogs lodging with us, the Pet Care Warranty will reimburse our clients up to $500 in eligible veterinary expenses if illnesses or injuries occur during their visit at My Second Home Pet Resort.
