In order to ensure the health and safety of all our guests, My Second Home has implemented a series of systems and procedures that provide an environment unlike any other facility. To aid in this, we ask that owners ensure their pet is up to date on some required vaccinations.
Please have your vet email or fax over a copy of your pet’s updated vaccination records prior to your arrival to avoid any delays during check in. Animals that have not been vaccinated at least 72 hours prior to arrival will not be accepted under any circumstances. Age waivers signed by a licensed veterinarian are acceptable.
The minimum requirements are as follows:
Dogs: Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, and CIV (flu)
Cats: Rabies and FVRCP
Flea, Tick & Worm Control
Please be sure that your pets are current for flea and heartworm medications prior to arriving for a lodging reservation. In addition to the required vaccinations, these safeguards will help us to keep My Second Home free of these pesky creatures. You will be asked to sign a form indicating your pet is current upon arrival. Thank you for helping us keep our facility “critter free.”
We are a flea-free facility!! We administer a Capstar tablet to all pets lodging with us at a charge of $6.00 per visit. This is not an optional item. More information about it is available upon request.
Pets Aggressive to Humans
The guests at My Second Home will enjoy the interaction with staff and other pets as part of the Resort experience. As a result, My Second Home cannot accept pets who have bitten another human in the past. By completing a reservation request, you are accepting this policy.
However, as highly trained pet professionals, we understand that many dogs who have not been socialized with other humans or dogs may display what seems to be aggravation through growling and barking. We are more than happy to work with you in determining if My Second Home is right for your pet.
Reservation & Payments
Owner agrees to pay the rate for boarding, grooming, daycare and any other requested services in effect on the date pet is checked into My Second Home.
Reservations are only accepted with a $75.00 deposit during our standard season. This deposit is due at time of reservation and may be fully refunded if cancellation is made at least 7 business days prior to planned arrival date. The deposit will be forfeited if you do not make proper notice of cancellation.
Authorized Pick Up
At My Second Home the security and care of your pet is the cornerstone of our business. For your protection, only the owner or the person listed as the authorized pick up person will be able to pick up your pet.
