"Paw Play" Doggie Day Care
It works just like Daycare for kids but with a lot more hair! You drop your dog off in the morning on the way to work as early as 7:00 am, and while you slave away, your pampered pooch is having a blast! Your four-legged pal will love running, jumping and sliding their day away with a few friends -- all the while promoting healthy exercise! Once a month, once a week or everyday, "Paw Play" Doggie Day Care offers a wonderful outlet for your pet to socialize and exercise...and sometimes just to give you a break!
Some Good Reasons to Use Paw Play Doggie Day Care...
The Home Alone Reason.
Dogs left unattended can exhibit destructive behavior if deprived of the company of other pets and people. Thousands of pet owners work all day, and this requires leaving your dog home while you work. One of the top ten reasons given at an animal shelter for owner turn-ins is “he is destroying my things when I am not home!” This could be easily prevented by using doggie daycare.
The "I’m Just Too Exhausted" Reason.
You’ve put in a long day of work and are exhausted upon returning home – but not your best friend! They are full of energy and ready to go! The last thing you feel like doing is going for that hour-long walk trying to wear them out. Bring them to daycare instead! You will come home to a dog that is happy, content, and is ready to cuddle up!
The Busy House Reason.
Remodeling a room? Having a party? Getting a new roof? Whenever you want or need to have your pet out of the house, Paw Play Daycare may be the answer.
The Socialization Reason.
If left on their own, dogs will seek out the company of other dogs. It is their nature as pack animals. At Paw Play Daycare, they are allowed to interact with other dogs in a controlled setting and learn acceptable behaviors.
Dogs are pack animals and therefore socialization is crucial for dogs of all ages. One of the most important skills a dog can gain from Paw Play Daycare is socialization. For young pups that have not had a lot of interactions with other dogs, Paw Play Daycare gives them the chance to learn appropriate "doggie manners". They learn how to communicate with other dogs, discovering how to tell when another dog wants to play and when they do not.
Dogs not only learn to be social with other dogs, but with humans as well. If your dog is shy, our staff takes time to get to know your dog. Through positive interactions, your dog will learn that humans are “not so scary”.
The Dog Boarding & Grooming Reason.
Is you pet vacationing with us? Enroll them in daily Paw Play Daycare at check-in. Your pet will sleep like a baby each night after a fun day with friends. Or perhaps your pet has an upcoming grooming appointment with us. Did you know they can attend Daycare as well on the same day? Bring your dog in early for Daycare and afterward they can be pampered in our spa.
A dog arriving for My Second Home Doggie Day Care usually pulls his owner through the door. Happy to be here, he greets our staff and goes right out to play. After romping for several hours with his buddies, the dogs are brought in so they can curl up for a snooze in an individual enclosure. Then it's back out to play until it's time to go home.
When it's time to go home, we will bring the dog back out to the owner, and we see a repeat of the morning routine. As happy as the dogs were to arrive in the morning, they're equally pleased to greet their owners and go home. A great day of friends and play, and a relaxed evening at home with loving "parents” - what could be better?!
"Paw Play" Doggie Day Care Policies
All Doggie Day Care participants over the age of 6 months must be spayed or neutered. Your dog must be friendly towards other pets and people. All dogs must be on current flea prevention. Pets with fleas or contagious diseases are not admitted. Proof of vaccinations are required, including Bordetella. All dogs wanting to use daycare will be given a temperament test and will be strictly evaluated to be sure they are a good fit for the pack. If the staff of My Second Home feels your dog will not be a good fit or doesn’t enjoy the Paw Play Daycare atmosphere, the owner will be contacted to pick up their pet.
