Aggressive Pets

The guests at My Second Home will enjoy interaction with staff and other pets as part of the Resort experience. As a result, My Second Home will not accept animals that are aggressive or have shown any signs of being aggressive in the past. By completing a reservation request, you are accepting this policy. For the safety of all, please do not place a reservation with us if you know your pet to be at all aggressive. If your dog ever bitten another dog or person or displayed any form of aggression, we regret we will not be able to care for your pet. The Owner agrees to be solely responsible for any and all acts or behavior of the pet while it is in the care of My Second Home.

Vaccination Requirements

Please bring a copy of your pet’s vaccination records with you or have your veterinarian fax us a copy prior to your arrival to avoid any delays during check in. Animals that have not been vaccinated at least 72 hours prior to arrival will not be accepted under any circumstances.

The minimum requirements are as follows:

Dogs: Rabies, DHP, Parvo and Bordetella
Cats: Rabies and FVRCP

Flea, Tick & Worm Control

Please be sure that your pets are current for flea and heartworm medications prior to arriving for a lodging reservation. In addition to the required vaccinations, these safeguards will help us to keep My Second Home free of these pesky creatures. You will be asked to sign a form indicating your pet is current upon arrival. Thank you for helping us keep our facility “critter free.”

We are a flea-free facility!! We administer a Capstar tablet to all pets lodging with us at a charge of $5.00 per visit. This is not an optional item. More information about it is available upon request.

Reservation & Payments

Owner agrees to pay the rate for boarding, grooming, daycare and any other requested services in effect on the date pet is checked into My Second Home.

Reservations are only accepted with a $75.00 deposit during our standard season. This deposit is due at time of reservation and may be fully refunded if cancellation is made at least 7 business days prior to planned arrival date. The deposit will be forfeited if you do not make proper notice of cancellation.

Authorized Pick Up

At My Second Home the security and care of your pet is the cornerstone of our business. For your protection, only the Owner or the person listed as the authorized pick up person will be able to pick up your pet.
